Spring YA Scavenger Hunt!!!

Welcome to YA Scavenger Hunt! I'm Angela Corbett, author of Eternal Starling. If you're looking for the exclusive Eternal Starling deleted scene, it's on one of the Team Yellow blogs, so keep hunting!

This tri-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors...and a chance to win some awesome prizes! On this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize--one lucky winner will receive TWENTY signed books, one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online for 72 hours!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are THREE contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter all three! I am a part of the YELLOW TEAM--but there is also a red team and a blue team. You can enter all three contests--which has a total prize bucket of SIXTY signed books!

If you'd like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt homepage.

Scavenger Hunt Puzzle

Directions: Hidden within my post is a single letter that is YELLOW. Make a note of that letter! It's a part of a scrambled phrase. When you go to all the author sites of the yellow team, you'll have all the letters you need to enter the contest.

Entry Form: Once you piece together all the clues to the hunt, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the completed phrase will qualify.
Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by noon, PST, April 1, 2012. Entries sent without the correct puzzle code or without contact information will not be considered.

If you get stuck while going through the hunt, click on this link.

Wonderful People!

I have to say, I think the best part about being an author is the wonderful people I've met! There are so many fabulous people I've become friends with through this process!

One of those people is Krisz, from the Romanian blog Walking-on-Letters. Krisz has started a campaign to try and get Eternal Starling published in Romania! I'm really happy about this, and about all the Romanian bloggers and fans who are helping promote Eternal Starling there!!!

Krisz sent me a bunch of links to some of her recent blog posts. She's made fan art with quotes from Eternal Starling, and she even made an Eternal Starling Tumblr page!

I am SO excited! Seriously. I looked at all the links and couldn't stop smiling! I feel lucky to have such wonderful supporters of my book!

If you want to take a look at the pages, here they are! The blog is in Romanian, so the links will take you to a translated version of the pages.

Book Nerd Choice!

Eternal Starling is Jeanbooknerd's book-of-the-month
There will be a poll at the end of the month where you can vote for your favorite character. The most popular character will be transformed into an original drawing by James Vallesteros! To get a bookmark with the drawing, you just have to participate in the book discussion, so go discuss!
Huge thanks to Jean for choosing Eternal Starling as her BNC!!!

So Exciting!

What's so exciting you ask??? I point you to the picture below!
The screen shot is a little fuzzy, so if you can't read it, Eternal Starling is on order at my local library! This is as exciting for me as seeing the book on a store's shelf! Growing up, the library was one of my favorite places in the world. I loved being able to open a book and travel to new places and fall in love with characters without ever having to leave the shade of the tree on the library lawn. The thought that Eternal Starling is in libraries around the U.S. for people to read is overwhelming and means so much to me!
Thank you to everyone who requested Eternal Starling for the Salt Lake County Library system, and to everyone who has requested the book at their local libraries in other places too!

Find me at BEA!!!

Guess who just booked their plane ticket for BEA June 5-7???

Meeeeeeeee!!!!! *happy dance*

There are so many bloggers, authors, fans, and friends I've met online. I'm really excited to get to finally meet some of you in person!

Oh, and another very exciting announcement about BEA....

The cover and title for Emblem of Eternity Book 2 will be revealed at the conference!!!

I was at the cover shoot a few weeks ago, my friends. I've seen the AH-MAZING photos photographer Lani Woodland took! The cover is going to be gorgeous, and you won't want to miss the reveal!

So make sure you come and see me! I'll be signing in the Pendrell Publishing booth (Booth #2040) on Thursday, June 7th. Hopefully, I'll be doing some other events too, so I'll keep you updated when I know about them, and they'll also be listed on the Events page on my website.

So, who else is going to BEA???
