YA Scavenger Hunt!!!

It was awesome to meet so many of you during the YA Scavenger Hunt! The Hunt only lasted a few days, so the exclusive material from Erica O'Rourke is no longer available in this post, but I left Erica's bio and information about Torn and Tangled. Check out her website to learn more!
I'm so honored to be posting exclusive material from the fabulous Erica O'Rourke! Erica is the author of the Torn Trilogy.

Mo Fitzgerald knows about secrets. But when she witnesses her best friend's murder, she discovers Verity was hiding things she never could have guessed. To find the answers she needs and the vengeance she craves, Mo--quiet, ordinary, unmagical Mo--will have to enter a world of raw magic and shifting alliances. And she'll have to choose between two very different, equally dangerous guys--protective, duty-bound Colin and brash, mysterious Luc.  One wants to save her, one wants to claim her. Which would you choose?

A month ago, Mo Fitzgerald risked her life to stop an ancient prophecy and avenge her best friend's murder. Now, she only wants to keep her loved ones safe. But the magic—and the Chicago Mob—have other plans. Mysterious, green-eyed Luc is back, asking for help—and a second chance. Colin, her strongest protector, is hiding a shocking secret. And inside Constance, the magic is about to go terribly wrong. Tangled in a web of love and betrayal, Mo must choose between the life she's dreamed of and the one she's destined for.

Don't they sound fantastic! The first book, Torn is already out and the second book, Tangled, comes out January 31st! You can read more about Erica below.

Erica O'Rourke writes books about girls who make their own fate and fall for boys they shouldn't. She loves sushi, hates fish, and drinks way too much coffee. TORN, the first book in the trilogy, won the 2010 RWA Golden Heart Award for Best Young Adult Manuscript.

Welcome to the YA Scavenger Hunt!

It was awesome to meet so many of you during the YA Scavenger Hunt! The Hunt only lasted a day, so the exclusive material from Kady Cross is no longer available in this post, but I left Kady's bio and information about The Girl in the Steel Corset. Check out her website to learn more!

I'm so honored to be posting exclusive material from the fabulous Kady Cross! The first book in her Steampunk Chronicles was released in May to rave reviews. I also wish I had her makeup creation talent! You can read more about Kady below.

In her other life Kady Cross is a USA Today bestselling author of more than 20 books. She is lucky enough to have a husband who shares her love for the slightly twisted, and all things geek, and a houseful of cats with whom she shares her darkest secrets. When she’s not listening to the characters in her head she’s either trying to formulate the perfect lipgloss or teaching herself to solder. She has a weakness for all things girly, sugar skulls, and boots. Her love of books and makeup borders on addiction – from which she never, ever wants to be cured.

Kady is the author of the incredible Steampunk Chronicles series. Read about the first book in the series, The Girl in the Steel Corset.

In 1897 England, sixteen-year-old Finley Jayne has no one…except the "thing" inside her.

When a young lord tries to take advantage of Finley, she fights back. And wins. But no normal Victorian girl has a darker side that makes her capable of knocking out a full-grown man with one punch….

Only Griffin King sees the magical darkness inside her that says she's special, says she's one of them. The orphaned duke takes her in from the gaslit streets against the wishes of his band of misfits: Emily, who has her own special abilities and an unrequited love for Sam, who is part robot; and Jasper, an American cowboy with a shadowy secret.

Griffin's investigating a criminal called The Machinist, the mastermind behind several recent crimes by automatons. Finley thinks she can help—and finally be a part of something, finally fit in.

But The Machinist wants to tear Griff's little company of strays apart, and it isn't long before trust is tested on all sides. At least Finley knows whose side she's on—even if it seems no one believes her.

You can read more about Kady and the Steampunk Chronicles on her website.

You can also buy Kady's books here: Barnes and Noble, Amazon, BAM.
