Tempting Sydney Cover Reveal!!! Release Date, May 28th!

I'm SO excited to show you the cover for Tempting Sydney, the first book in my New Adult Contemporary Romance Series! The cover was designed by the amazing Laura, at Bookfabulous Designs.
I got the idea for this series after a discussion with a friend, and I couldn't get the characters out of my head. I LOVE these characters, and OMG Jax! *sigh* He's definitely one of my favorite heroes. This book has SO much sexy, and I really can't wait for you to read it!

Title: Tempting Sydney
Author: Angela Corbett

Release Date: May 28, 2014

“Someone needs to make you come completely undone, Sydney Parker.” His tongue moved slowly over his lips. “That someone is going to be me.”

Goal-oriented Sydney Parker has never had a problem focusing. She’s about to start law school, the first step on her way to the Supreme Court. With no time for relationships, she lives vicariously through her best friend Brynn, who has recently decided to use sex as a research tool. Sydney, however, hasn’t been laid in years. Men are a distraction, one Sydney has diligently avoided…until Jackson West crashes into her life, and under her hood.

The last thing Sydney needs is a hot mechanic working on her ‘69 Camaro. Especially a hot mechanic with eyes like the ocean and lick-me abs, who claims to be better in bed than a werewolf.

Jax thinks that’s exactly what Sydney needs.

But Sydney has goals, and a relationship with the enigmatic Jax would challenge her.

Distract her.

Tempt her.

Sydney is about to find out that temptation is very hard to resist.

As a child, Angela Corbett’s most prized possession was a set of read-along books. She used to follow along with the narrator on the stereo and dream of when she would be able to read by herself. Her childhood reading habit led her to consider her future career. However, after consulting with her parents, she realized she had already exceeded hobbit height and since fairies and dragonslayers were tricky jobs to get, she decided she wanted to create worlds of her own. She started writing poetry in elementary school and worked as a journalist in high school and college, but could never leave her love for writing fiction behind.

She is a graduate of Westminster College where she double majored in communication and sociology. She has worked as a journalist, freelance writer, and director of communications and marketing. She loves classic cars, traveling, and escaping in a good book. She lives in Utah with her incredibly supportive husband and their five-pound Pomeranian, Pippin, whose following of fangirls could rival Justin Bieber's.

Devilishly Short Novelette #1 Early Relase!!!

The next Kate Saxee Mystery story is here!!!

And you can buy it RIGHT now, for only 99 cents!

Devilishly Short #1 was supposed to come out in 2 weeks, but when I got it back from production early, I decided to release it right away!

Devilishly Short #1 is the first in the Kate Saxee Mystery Series Novelettes. I'm going to release a novelette between each full-length Devil novel.

Now, I know you're saying, what the crap, Ang??? Why not just release the next Kate Saxee book!?! Well, it all comes down to time. A 90,000-100,000 word Kate Saxee novel takes me A LOT longer to write, edit, and produce than a shorter novelette. Plus, I'm usually working on at least 2-4 different novels at a time, so it takes me awhile to get the books shiny, pretty and ready for you to read. But, I love the Kate Saxee series so much that I thought it would be fun to release these shorter stories between the books, so you don't have to wait *as* long to hear from Kate, Hawke, Drake, and all the crazy people in Branson Falls. Heaven knows, Kate's mom has plenty of time to cause trouble between books!

For those of you cursing me because you don't want to read a short story, but feel like you'll be lost in the series if you don't, fear not! The Devilishly Short Novelettes stand alone from the rest of the Devil books. They won't affect the story in the next novel...though, sometimes they might hint at it.  :)

Also, the Devilishly Short Novelettes will only be available in eBooks. If you don't have an eReader, you can download the book using the Kindle or Nook app on your smart phone or tablet. Or, you should be able to buy it and read it on your computer.

I hope you have as much fun reading Devilishly Short #1 as I had writing it! And maybe it will inspire you to bake some bread. ;)

Cover Reveal! Whispering Wishes, by Jennifer Miller!

My gorgeous friend, Jennifer Miller, has a new book coming out, and the cover is fabulous!!! Check it out below!

Title: Whispering Wishes
Author: Jennifer Miller

Release Date: May 28, 2014

Be careful what you wish for...
Normally, Aspen Edwards will do anything for her free-spirited best friend, Mischa, but this feels like a bit much. The plan is simple, all Aspen has to do is write down a few affirmations and recite them during the New Moon. But as skeptical as Aspen is, a promise is a promise. So, she whispers each wish to the universe, pondering the possibilities of "what if." Who wouldn't want a promotion at work, a new home, or to become an irresistible sex goddess?
But Aspen’s luck doesn't change with the wishes, or the wind. Each of her whispered prayers produces disaster. She gets fired. Her car breaks down. She gets kicked out of her house. And of course there is the crap icing on the cake of doom, falling for flirtatious and sexy, Wes, who sees her as nothing more than his “little sis”. It might not be so bad if his house weren't the only place she had to go.
Unbeknownst to her, the universe has a few tricks up its sleeve, and Aspen's bad luck streak might just be putting her right where she needs to be!

Author Jennifer Miller was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, but now calls Arizona home. Jennifer’s love of reading began when she was a small child, and only continued to grow as she entered adulthood. Ever since winning a writing contest at the young age of nine, when she wrote a book about a girl with a pet unicorn, she’s dreamed of writing a book of her own. Quickly learning that dreams don’t just fall into your lap, she knew she had to chase them herself and not be afraid to dream a little bigger. Most importantly, she is a wife and mother, and is very lucky to have a family that loves and supports her in all things. She also has an unhealthy addiction to handbags and chocolate covered strawberries, neither of which she cares to change. For more information about Jennifer and her books please visit

I'm hosting the gorgeous and talented Lynne Matson!

Lynne is a former attorney who thinks writing books for teens is much more fun. Her debut novel, NIL, a YA thriller with a SF twist, was published by Macmillan/Henry Holt on March 4, 2014.
When she's not writing or reading, you'll find her hanging out with her husband and their 4 boys, usually at the beach. Cookies are her kryptonite, especially thin mints.

Mmmm! Thin mints! I could eat at least 68 of them! You can find out more about Lynne on her website!

You can buy NIL here

On the mysterious island of Nil, the rules are set. You have one year. Exactly 365 days--to escape, or you die.

Seventeen-year-old Charley doesn’t know the rules. She doesn’t even know where she is. The last thing she remembers is blacking out, and when she wakes up, she’s lying naked in an empty rock field. Lost and alone, Charley finds no sign of other people until she meets Thad, the leader of a clan of teenage refugees. Soon Charley learns that leaving the island is harder than she thought . . . and so is falling in love. With Thad’s time running out, Charley realizes that to save their future, Charley must first save him. And on an island rife with dangers, their greatest threat is time.

Doesn't it sound fantastic??? I can't wait to read it!

This is an extra scene from Thad's POV!

Chapter 38.5
Day 293, Mid-Morning

“Thad.” Rives’s voice was low. “The Shack was hit again last night while we were taking care of that girl. And this time, no chance it’s an animal.” Rives paused. “The metal knives are gone. All of them.”

The metal knives are gone. All of them.

Despair, fury, and frustration shot through me in equal parts. I’d had Watch set up on the Shack; I’d been ready. So how did the knives walk? Either we had a traitor inside the City—a crafty one, one possibly with an accomplice. Or, we had Raiders outside the City. Raiders that had grown dangerously bold, breaching the City limits to take the one thing we couldn’t replace. Part weapon, part tool, the rough metal knives were made by someone before us, knives I honestly couldn’t figure out how were even here at all. But they were here, and we needed them like a parched man needs water. And now they were gone.

Nil never made anything easy.

Rives was looking at me expectantly.

“Get Jason,” I told Rives through clenched teeth. “Have him search the huts, starting with Bart’s. Then meet me at the Shack. If the knives are still here, we’ll find them.”

I turned to Charley. Her thoughtful expression told me she’d overheard at least part of today’s bad news.

“Charley, it seems our knives grew legs last night. I’m going to start at the Shack and search a grid from there.”

She frowned. “You think someone hid them close by?”

“I’m hoping,” I said. “It’s our best bet. If it’s one of us, I doubt they’d stash them in their hut, but then again, someone might just be that stupid. And if it’s not one of us, we’re screwed, unless the thieves dropped one in their rush to get away.”

Charley nodded. “What can I do?”

What can you do? I closed my eyes. Run, find a gate, and get the hell off this nightmare of an island. If I couldn’t keep the knives secure and the City intact, how did I have a fighting chance to keep Charley safe?

“Pay attention, C,” Rives said quietly. I hadn’t realized he was still beside me. “Keep your eyes and ears open, watching and listening for anything that strikes you as being out of place. For anything that feels off.” Rives broke into an easy grin. “And by ‘off’ I mean more off than than normal, which by Nil’s standards, is already seriously whacked since technically we’re standing on an island that doesn’t exist.”

And don't forget to enter the contest for a chance to win a ton of signed books by me, Lynne Matson, and more! Add up all the favorite numbers of all the authors on the blue team and you'll have the secret code to enter for the grand prize!
